The Provincia di Venezia was involved in collecting and archiving data concerning the air state since 1996. The stations, two of which are mobile, ware situated in different places and were equipped with instruments for the survey of various parameters.
The archive, that have been online freely consultable, retained hourly or daily average data, obtained through the monitoring of those parameters in 1996, 1997 e 1998. The system allowed the user to select the interesting data and choose how to display them. Subsequently the stations' management was taken over by ARPAV, that has acquired competence in environmental monitoring.
Anyhow, the Provincia di Venezia maintains minitoring and managing functions.
