di Venezia The Centro Previsioni e Segnalazioni Maree (i.e. Tide Warnings and Forecasts Center) of the Municipality of Venice operates a network for monitoring sea level and meteorological parameters in the lagoon of Venice and in the Adriatic Sea area in front of it. Over time, a wavemeters network and a GPS reference network were added to the first one. The Centro Previsioni e Segnalazioni Maree has also took over the Osservatorio Bioclimatologico dell'Ospedale al Mare, in order to recover the archive and follow-up observations.
