Physical Characteristics | perennial bushy plant (emicryptophyte), up to 40 - 120 centimeters tall, with short stolons and rising culms; the nodes are elongated. Leaves are glabrous, green, a little bit greyish-blu, with some hair along the edges and 6 - 8 mm wide. Flowers are gathered in spikes 7 - 14 centimeters long. The fruit is a caryopsis. Flowering takes place form may to July. |
Habitat | it lives on the elevated edges of the salt marshes, in the reclaimed areas, in the incultivated areas, along the hedges and the streets, on the littorals where the soil is influenced by the near brackish water. |
